Tourism Pokhara. The speakers have urged for attention for the construction process of 5 storied Gumba at Khapaudi Dhalkebar of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan-18. The speakers in a program organised at Gumba on Saturday informed about the importance of Gumba for religious tourist attraction as well as sight seeing.
Known as Kunga Dorje Sangh Terling Gumba, the gumba itself and panaromic view from here can be centre of attraction so its construction should be completed as soon as possible, the speakers said.
Local citizen Guru Prasad Baral informed that the Gumba lies in Panchase Trek amd beautiful views of Pokhara city and Phewa Lake can be seen from here. He also requested to complete the construction process as soon as possible.
Started with a lone effort of Lama Padam Karma Chhewang, a 5 storied permanent Gumba is already built at an estimated cost of Rs. 35 million. Further 15 million rupees is estimated for painting, finishing, furnishing and decoration. Chairman of Gumba, Lama Padam Karma Chhiring informed that the gumba will reside 108 statues from different religions.
In a meeting conducted on Saturday, Guru Padam Lama was nominated as chairman of operation committee. Lama Bishnu Ghising as vice chairman, Lama Roshan Tamang as Secretary, Shukra Tamang as Dep. Secretary, Major Gam Bahadur Gurung as Treasurer and Nurkin Dolma as vice Treasurer were also nominated by the meeting.
Similarly the meeting nominated Rudrakumari Gurung (Maina) and Subedar Major Chet Bahadur Gurung as Main Consultant, Lama Dharma Gurung Nayab Subedar Krishna Bahadur Gurung, Nayab Subedar Tilbahadur Gurung and Lama Jyotish Captain Naina Singh Gurung as Consultant, and Lama Dinesh Gurung, Lama Ganja Tamang, Lama Karma Gurung, Lama Sagar Gurung, Lama Manoj, Lama Jiwan and Lama Khusiman Gurung as members of operation committee.
