Tourism Pokhara. A clean-up program was organized in Gosteghat, bank of Seti river as a part of comprehensive Pokhara clean-up campaign.
Organized with a Theme, “Haptama Ek Ghanta: Rastraka Lagi Swayamsewa” ( Volunteering for Nation:An hour a week), the 92nd round of clean-up campaign collected almost 5 tons of garbages, according to Mankaji Gurung, Chairman of Dip United Club Pokhara.
The program was inaugurated by Jiwan Acharya, Chairman of Ward no. 16. Rajesh Gurung, member of Ward no 16 committee and one of the campaigner said that this week’s program saw significant presence of locals of Gosteghat area as well as participants from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Garbage management team from Po.Le metro, staffs of Muktinath Bikas Bank, Gorkha Fitness Training Centre, Damside Tole Development Committee, Dip United Club, Abhiyan Club Women Sub Committee, Machhapuchchhre Women Club, Chhantyal Youth Association, Pragati Boarding School along with various social campaigners.
93rd round of clean-up campaign will be organised at Laltin Bajar of Ward No.1 in Kaserighat.
