Flower Shower In Pokhara To Mark Prithvi Jayanti

Tourism Pokhara. Ultralights and helicopters will shower with flowers this time in Pokhara to celebrate 296th Prithvi Jayanti. Shankar Kharal, coordinator of Main Celebration Committee, in a press met organized on Tuesday, here at Pokhara informed that a rally and flower shower will be organised to mark the day which is also celebrated as Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).

“This time to celebrate the birthday of late king Prithvi Narayan Shah, unifier of modern Nepal and emblem of unity in grand manner the program will be organised in Pokhara”, coordinator Kharal added. A procession will be held in Pokhara with Naumati Baja on 27th Poush. Similarly portrait of PN Shah and Nepal Flag will be presented by Ultralights while flower shower will be done by helicopter in the sky of Pokhara.

Professor Doctor Dil Bahadur Chhetri , advisor of celebration committee urged the locals to participate in the procession and appreciate the effort of PN Shah.

” The procession will begin from Manab Adhikar Chowk passing through Newroad and end at Prithvi Chowk where various programs including garlanding photo of PN Shah will be organised”, Asil Kumar Shahi, Secretary of Celebration Committee informed.
