Maha Yagya Begins In Sarangkot, Single Individual Announces 161 Millions Donation

Tourism Pokhara. In the first day of ShreeMad Bhagwat Birat Gyan Maha Yagya being held to develop Religious Tourism Master Plan Site at Sarangkot, Ngwang Kunga Bista, social worker and founder of Buddha Adhyan Kendra Mahakaruna Aawasiya Bidhyalaya announced a donation of 161 million Rupees. 150 Million of donation amount will be for the construction of huge Buddha Temple and the rest will be invested in the under-construction Shiva Temple.

Bista informed that though he had to study Buddhist religion in India as a refugee, after the establishment of School in his own initiative, Nepalese can teach and learn about Buddhist religion here in Nepal. Bista, who is a resident of Lomanthang, Mustang has been staying at Pokhara-18 Sarangkot, operating his school and doing various social activities.

Inaugurating the program, Surya Bahadur Kc, social worker and ex MP, announced a donation of 10 Tola gold for Buddha temple, and other financial assist for constructing statues of lord Shiva, lord Ganesh and other gods and goddesses and also said that the master plan to develop Hindu as well as Buddhist religious site will send positive message to everyone. A huge ‘Kalash Yatra’ that began from Gaighat Pokhara passed through Bindhabasini and reached Sarangkot proceeded to a religious gathering. The main speaker and story teller of program Bhagwat Bhaskar Kamal Nayan Gautam said that the unification of ‘Om Kar’ family will bring both Buddhist and Hindu follower throuhout the entire world to Nepal which will certainly benefit for development of nation.

Similarly in the program Pandit Kul Prasad Pahari (Ghana Shyam) announced a donation of 1 ropani land and Prem Bahadur GC, chairman of Sarangkot Religious and Tourism Area Development Committee announced 2.5 Million Rupees donation. Speaking in program that was chaired by Prem Bahadur Gc, Rana Bahadur Thapa, chairman of Po.Le Ward -18, Rameshwar Malla, Chairman of Po.Le Ward-2, Puskar Thapa, Chairman of CPN UML ward-18 and others expressed their belief that the success of Mahayagya will ensure the success of Sarangkot Grand Masterplan as well.

27 sub – committees are formed for organising Magayagya that will be conducted from Magh 22 to Falgun 1. Krishna Thapa, Secretary and Coordinator of Event Promotion informed that programs like daily ShreeMad Bhagwat Katha Bhachan, Laghu Rudri Paath, Daanbir Samman, Samuhik Bratabandha, Chaurasi Puja will be held during the Maha Yagya.
