Tourism Pokhara. Preparations have started for Fewa Nawa Mahotsab 2075 on the occasion of Nepalese New Year. The festival will be organised by Western Region Hotel Association Pokhara from Chaitra 28 to Baishak 2 at Komagane Park, Lakeside Pokhara.
According to Bikal Tulachan, Chairman of Association and coordinator of event, a 35 membered main organizer committee is formed for preparation. Association has informed that the festival will be celebrated with the theme “Paryatan , Sanskriti and Khana” and will aim to bring into light the cultural, social and ethnic specialities with local lifestyle of Province 4.
Ganesh Raj Pahari, secretary of Association believed that the festival will give a significant boost to internal as well as external tourism sector that was affected by earthquake, indian economic blockade as well as fluctuating political scenario that is finally shaping to some stability.
In a scene of increasing foreign influence in our lifestyle, this festival will help to celebrate our local new year in a grand fashion and spread positive message of cultural conservation throughout the nation. Also the festival will focus in conservation of Fewa lake area that is suffering pollution and encroachment at same time.
Aiming local and foreign spectators various programs will be organized in the festival. Varieties of cushion from 5 star hotels to local village around Pokhara, cultural programs, lok dohori, pop concerts, children’s fun park and comedy shows will be the major attraction of festival.
