Tourism Pokhara. Sasto Bajar has come into operation in Pokhara from Sunday. The market is brought in operation by Surya Dil Group Investment Pvt. Ltd at Prithvi Chowk, Pokhara. The opening of market was announced by Yubaraj Khatiwada, Company Operator in a press met today.
Khatiwada informed, “Infrastructures required for full fledged operation of market has already been constructed. Also infrastructures required for proper security provisions have reached in final stage of construction.”
He also informed that 400 stalls will be operated in the area. He said, “Booking procedure of stalls have also reached final stage. The market will feature normal to high standard and very high standard entrepreneurs providing service.”
The market will constitute wholesale and retail shops, departmental stores, food store, clothing store, emporiums, restaurants, beauty parlours, saloons, cafe, utensil stores, Thakali kitchen, sports centre, mobile and electronic shops, vegetable and fruit shop. The market claims to provide “Nun dekhi Sun samma” to their customers.
The company also claimed that the stalls have been built in scientific manner. The focus is to provide open environment and equal access to customers to every stall. The rent rate and deposits are also adjusted in a scientific basis. According to Khatiwada, free wifi zone, sufficient parking space, insurance facility will be provided in the market area. Khatiwada also informed that 75% stalls in ground floor has already been booked and 25% of stalls have been occupied in 1st floor.
The market that will be operating in heart of Pokhara city will be three storied. “The market is targeting youth entrepreneurs. We will provide special gift to those stall keepers who pay rent time. Also one stallkeeper will receive a scooter every year for a fair entrepreneur award”, Khatiwada added.
Dinanath Baral, vice secretary of Federation of Journalist Kaski and chief guest of event requested the market operators to keep in mind the interest of general consumers. He also requested to provide fair service and quality goods to consumers in a reasonable price. Pointing out the scenario of ever increasing traffic in Pokhara city, Baral also requested the organiser to ensure proper provision of parking facility.
