International Mountain Bike Competition has kicked off at Waling today.
The competition aimed at establishing the district as a destination of adventure tourism, has been organized by Wonderful Waling Tourism Development Association with the assistance of Waling municipality.
Association Chairman, Dinkar Nepal, informed that the competition was organized to announce Waling all across the globe as the destination of world cycling. The competition was inaugurated by Waling municipality mayor Dilip Pratap Khand at Surkaudi.
28 participants including two times world champion Cory Wallace and few other foreigner have participated in the event. Association Secretary Mohan Gurung informed that 18 players from Nepal Army, Armed Police Force have also took part in the competition.
The day long cycling that began from Surkaudi, passing through Triyashi, Singarkosh, Jagatbhanjyang, Garaushur temple, Bajakot, Karadi, Udiyachaur, Ghurungkha, Dumrabhangjyang, Swarek Dauwaphat and will end at same origin. The winner will get the prize of Rs 500 thousand.
