Twinning Relation Established Between Dhampus Village and Brecon Town Of UK

A ceremony was held to establish a twinning relationship between Dhampus village of Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality Kaski-7 and Brecon Town of Wales. The relationship is expected to help for cultural exchange between two cities as well as aid for social and economic development.

An agreement was signed by Karna Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of Machhapuchchhre rural municipality, Sama Bahadur Gurung, Ward Chairman of Dhampus, Councillor Manny Trailer, Mayor of Brecon Town and Fiona Williams, Deputy Chief Town Clerk of Brecon.

Kiran Gurung, Finance minister for province 4 taking the oath of representatives of agreement said that the relation will play a vital role in tourism promotion of entire Nepal.

Mannie Trailer, Chief Councillor of Brecon Town said the agreement will further strengthen the historic relation between two countries and expressed happiness for his first visit to Nepal. Chairman Gurung said that the agreement will help in mutual interest of both parties and help in the social development of the Dhampus village.

Major of Gurkha Army, Khusiman Gurung, who coordinated for establishing the relation said that the continous effort of one and half years finally came into fruition.
