Tourists welcomed at Pokhara Airport

Tourism Pokhara – Celebrating 39 th World Tourism Day, tourists arriving at Pokhara Airport were welcomed today morning.

The welcome program coordinated by Paschimanchal Hotel Association Pokhara (PHAP), was participated by 14 various tourism related organizations from Pokhara including Pokhara Tourism Council. Bikal Tulachan, chairman of Hotel Association informed that the the representative of those 14 organization welcomed the incoming tourists.

Tulachan also informed that the tourists, both domestic and international arriving at Pokhara airport from flight of Tara Airlines at 7 am and Buddha Air at 7:20 am were welcomed with flowers, garlands and musical program. The tourists then danced to the tunes with the organizers, Tulachan added.

In the occasion of Tourism Day, RABAN is set to organise Mini Street Festival at streets of Lakeside. Festival will be celebrated at about 1 km street starting from Barahi Ghat to Khahare, Lakeside. Laxman Baral, vice chairman of RABAN Pokhara informed that festival will be celebrated from 5 pm to late 12 am in midnight.

Baral also informed that various food cuisines with cultural programs, Newari Tayamacha, Panchebaja and performance from various Pop musical bands will be the part of the festival. RABAN also requested the tourist to get to streets and be the part of the program and promote tourism in Pokhara throughout the world.
